The USA survey was created out of a lifelong curiosity about people, particularly life in the United States. The USA survey hopes to offer snapshots of life in the USA. Every month a new survey will be available on this website. The results will be published on theUSAsurvey.com website.

theUSAsurvey.com is a personal project of mine (F/44022/51-75) currently in development. 

WHAT IS theUSAsurvey.com?

theUSAsurvey.com is an attempt to hear from people about various aspects of life in the United States.  The surveys and voices are inspiration in creating a performance to benefit local communities.  

WHY A SURVEY?

Surveys are an efficient way to start thinking about a topic and get a conversation started.  

WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE "VOICES" SECTION OF THE WEBSITE?

It's actually the MAIN point.  The surveys open up the topic, but it is the comments in the "VOICES" section where I plan to spend some time with in a creative capacity.  I plan to tap the comments (as well as the survey results) for community based performances to benefit a worthy local non profit. Think 70's variety show meets Moth Radio Hour meets trivia game night.  

WHY ANONYMOUS?

 Anonymous answers allow for fast and simple responses. Some surveys will explore sensitive matters.  Respondents can always at any time choose to identify themselves by adding their name to the comments or by emailing voices@theusasurvey.com.  

WOULDN'T USING OTHER PEOPLE'S WORDS IN YOUR PERSONAL PROJECT BE A FORM OF PLAGIARISM?

I will not pass these comments off as my own.  Even if I use the comments in a fictional presentation, I would give credit to the anonymous respondents of theUSAsurvey.com

DO RESPONDENTS HAVE TO BE US CITIZENS?

Not at all!  I welcome hearing from people all over the world.  I ask that a respondent add their country or country code in the ZIP CODE question.
